KidsPaloozaFor over a decade, families have been flocking to downtown El Paso for KidsPalooza. This event encourages children to explore the many free things to do downtown. Each year, the El Paso Symphony brings in a special character to meet with the children. Free transportation is also provided to museums and other kid friendly spaces in town.
Chalk the BlockChalk the Block began nearly a decade ago as a way to get people to experience downtown El Paso. Now, it has spread throughout the city. Each participant must be vetted before the event. They are then given six hours to create a work of art on the sidewalks using only chalk. The works are then admired by the adoring fans who flock to this three day event and judged by a prestigious panel of judges.
Showdown FestOver 300 tattoo artists from around the world gather for the Showdown Fest each September. Artists can also compete in tattoo contests showcasing their individual talent. This festival also features many jaw-dropping acts of entertainment along with an amazing lineup of hard rock and alternative music. Many people say this is the best party of the year.
